wrongly believe that, because of their debt situation, they somehow lose
their protection in terms of consumer rights.

THE CASE

we see it as our duty to make sure that you are treated fairly and reasonably
by your Creditors at all times, acting immediately if we become aware
of unreasonable behaviour. Our advisers have been thoroughly trained
to deal with such situations. They will give you the advice you need to
help you deal with your Creditors and, whenever necessary, they will contact
them on your behalf.
HARASSMENT
LAW
Many customers
come to Gemstone with complaints of Creditor harassment by telephone call,
letter or even personal visit. This kind of contact should cease as soon
as Gemstone become involved with your case. It's an unfortunate fact,
however, that some Creditors may initially object to your gaining professional
advice.

You are protected
not only by the Office of Fair Trading, but also by the Administration
of Justice Act 1970 (section 40).

time, the level of contact or the behaviour of a Creditor concerns you,
